Two in a one, Maastricht

I’ve always been a bookshop lover but this one particular charming bookshop is different from the others. Located in a very unusual place – in a beautifully restored 13th-century Dominican church, the Selexyz Dominicanen is THE reason I went to Maastricht.

Nice bookshop or splendid architecture? Selexyz Dominicanen has both!

The beauty of Holland is in Zaanse Schans

Holland has always been associated with windmill. Yet some of my friends who went to Amsterdam came back disapointed of not seeing any windmill during their visit. My suggestion, when you go to Amsterdam, go a little bit on the north est and head yourself to Zaanse Schans.

Zaanse Schaans is an extraordinary windmill village with traditional Dutch wooden house, tulips gardens, clog factory and craft center. Some of the windmill here is still in use. And you can enter inside some of them and the beautiful scenery awaits you.

No need to share the road with bicycles and tram!

I remembered driving with my friend Shaz in Brussels. He thought that the road belonged only to the cars. Then without looking to the right, he entered the roundabout when suddenly a Tram  came out of nowhere and almost hit his car!

That’s the way it is in Europe. And in Amsterdam, it is even worse! You have to share the road with the tram, the pedestrian and the bicycles. And it will be also hard to find a parking in the city, and when you find one, you might have …
