When I was in Istanbul for my internship, Sultanahmet area is without a doubt one of my favourite hangouts area. The monuments there are simply astonishing, but the area is quite full of tourists!
Sultanahmet mosque is definitely a must visit monuments in the area. It is also known as blue mosque for its blue colour tiles in the interior. What is unique about this mosque is that it is the only mosque in Istanbul that has 6 minarets.
